We all already know you couldn’t care less about any of these game laws, but those of us with integrity see it differently.

Which is why I don’t ever foresee a time I go to prison for violating game laws. I don’t personally know anyone that has been to prison for violating game laws. I guess I hang in the wrong (or right??) crowds!

It is super uncommon to get a prison sentence for violating wildlife laws. So those that do go to prison are the worst of the worst, it seems.

Look at the charging date. They waited until the very last minute to charge him here. On the Trump jr case, they first attempted to make it go away. The DWR was trying so hard to protect WLH, but at some point, the damn bursts. The DWR got exposed by a journalist and now can no longer afford to protect and cover for Wade.

This case is 2020. Imagine all the illegal chit he's done in the last 4 years.

No, because it was a "canned" hunt which was then, and still is now illegal has everything to do with his conviction. That is what made it an illegal harvest, when it got mailed across state lines, that is what got the feds involved.

Trapping is not canned hunting, it has it's own specific rules about how you can go about doing it. Pretty sure you can't go and check your trap, find a lion in it, then leave and come back the next day with another person to let them kill it, whether they are paying you or not, that would make that a "canned" hunt and an illegal kill. And then the same rules about transporting the hide across state lines would come into effect making it a federal crime as well.
