Darn we have dirty criminal taxidermists. I wonder if Tri fits into this group of shady people. He seems to have it in for cops and most criminals do hate cops for one reason or another.

There are 700,000 law enforcement officers in the US. Once in a great while, you get one that does something wrong. It's nuts to focus on the very few like that, when the vast majority are doing one of the toughest jobs in the country and holding the line against the bad guys.

I didn't click on the article either- the intent is too obvious.
 
Never seen so many people upset that a murderer is going to go to prison.

Word to the wise. If you put your body armor on, chamber a round in your fully auto machine gun, and the CO says, "Make sure your body cameras are off", you are probably about to murder someone.

It's happened 2 other times this year already.

If you think I'm offended by bad businessmen going to jail you are wrong. If you think I am offended that it makes you think all taxidermist are crooked I am not.

But somehow you seem terrified that people will see a murderer go to prison and start thinking maybe we need to take a second look at Policing in America.

I guess you think the two people and their dog that were shot to death were just little people.

You claim you are one of the grown-ups- OK, just stand up proudly and admit you have this big problem with LEOs (as BH surmises) and then deal honestly with those who disagree with your position. That would be refreshing.

And yes we do need to take a second look at policing in America. If you are part of any industry or career that thinks you are perfect and don't need self analysis and can be made better, THEN YOU ARE PART OF THE FIRST PROBLEM THAT NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED.

My reply had absolutely nothing to do about a cop and EVERYTHING to do with your dumdass replies.
 
Tri after checking your very poor rating on one web site with reviews for Tri State taxidermy, maybe you should put your efforts forward to improving your profession and forget about bad mouthing other professions. One reviewer even stated to go else where for taxidermy work and another remarked about the poor service they received at Tri State taxidermy. I guess you are all mouth and poor performance after all.

Some HPD cops have full auto weapons. So do some DPS officers in this state. So do some Sherrifs department.

So how would you propose doing that- making a federal law that all police officers must have body cams?

Then another federal law saying they must be on at all times while on duty?

Would you make other federal laws prohibiting certain weapons from police departments?

That will never solve your stated problem. No way are all 50 states gonna pass those laws- never gonna happen. Hell, getting one new state to pass your desired remedy would be difficult enough.

But aside from that- I disagree it's a "policing" issue- it's some local event- a department, a person, not a general policing issue. I agree there are a very few bad apples in every big bushel. But you don't slice away at a 1000 apples to deal with a rotten one or two.

You fix that by culling the bad ones. Not every state passing wildly restrictive laws to deal with the small percent. No- instead- you deal with the bad apples as you find them. Thank god we have such a good batch of apples to deal with.

You used the word “some” a lot. Seems like you have no measurable metric of what that word means. Less than one percent of all cops carry fully automatic weapons of any kind. Just like far less than one percent of cops ever do anything truly bad. You seem to focus on the few negatives you can find. I assure you I have more disdain for those few crooked cops than you do. Question is why are you so focused on the measurably insignificant amount of police corruption. You have been asked that question and fail to answer, why? Statistically you are 400 times more likely to be killed by your doctor that a cop…

Yep, most years it’s single digits for a non justified police killing. 800k cops make 200 million contacts a year and maybe once a month they screw up that bad. There’s a reason Tri can’t answer the question of why he’s bashing cops as he’d have to admit to his own ignorance of very basic statistics…

Drunk driving kills 100s, probably 1000s of times as many people as unjust LEO killings. It's hardly worth the typing effort to share that with you.
