I'll be honest with you...if you don't have permission to hunt private land then Tabby is a very tough hunt. Tons of people hunt on the public land. There's always a few good bucks that come out of that country, but mostly by the locals who know the area very well. I'm not trying to discourage...

From what I understand. The DWR is trying to acquire it, but it has now become a bidding war with a private entity.

Migration unit? The only place for them to migrate is onto tribal ground or private ground. There's a CWMU unit they migrate onto where the chance of a decent bull is. Honestly you better hope for no snow. The chances greatly reduce if you get much snow. Good luck...Anthro used to be a great...

It's a cool unit. You'll see lots of bulls. Big bulls are there if you're patient. Steep country. But a very fun hunt

a good thing about grease is: when they leave and its on their feet....they leave a trail right to your bait for other bears to follow. Main thing is don't let your bait go dry...always keep something for them to eat. Different bears like different foods. Good luck and yes keep us updated on...

You will still find rutting action and will be able to find a 300 class bull maybe bigger if you hunt hard and get lucky. Numbers are WAY down as you've heard. This unit was once a premier unit....now not so much. Everyone is just saddened at what this unit once was compared to what it is today...
