The one thing that will likely keep hunters (and wildlife agencies) heads above water is the fact that hunters bring huge revenue to states that is used to support wildlife management. What's sad is that wildlife activists hardly do anything to financially support funding that promotes wildlife and habitat management and improvement projects.
There are Colorado Parks and Wildlife television adds every day on Colorado TV that bring this to the general public's attention. This and other public media promotions may be something other states consider. Unfortunately, wildlife activists often use negative media promotions that falsely sway the public.
The really sad thing that has happened in Colorado is that wildlife management decisions are being made by public via public vote that have no idea about the biological consequences.
