FCFS changes

Just noticed that Kalkomey won't let you be signed in on a computer and your phone at the same time. What kind of BS is that?
 
Just us few jonesing and wasting time getting ready to pounce on a desert ram tag? Not hundreds of thousands? Woohoo!!!! I like those odds!!!! ?
 
This just hit. I want a ram tag!!!!

I've been on steady the last 2 hours and the ML tag did not come up on my screen That is sketchy AH.
 
There is luck and reaction time involved. Depends on the refresh time, internet speed and your reaction time. A good tag might go before you see it
 
I have caught numerous tags that were scooped up but had not cleared my screen yet because I hadn't been timed out. But, when I clicked on add to cart, it says it was unavailable. I have spent every minute on FCFS tonight and did not see the ML tag. I am just saying I KNOW that is sketchy because there is NO WAY I could've missed it. I missed a tag earlier that was my #1 tag so I have been on every minute since. (Shoulders shrugged)

If you look at the little clock on your screen it refreshes every 30 seconds or so. Totally possible a tag comes up and is snagged before your 30 second window passes and you never see it.

My health ping refreshes every 35-45 seconds....
 
Yes. If someone gets it between when they put it up and your computer refreshes (a random thing based on your time), you will not see it. There is the luck of when you get on the FCFS page.
 
Very much anti-static! I have seen my screen saying "loading tags", and thinking, gotta refresh at that! It's a gamble even when you are glued to the screen and even then as fast as you can click you may get fcfs soup, especially this year!
 
Makes me wonder how much work productivity decreases during hunting season with guys staying up all night to catch a tag :LOL:. I guess if your boss man hunts he’s right there with you and understands
 
Snagging a desert ram tag will take lots of luck no matter how much time you waste. But you won't get one if you don't try. There time your computer refreshes is not tied to when they put it up and is a bit over 30 seconds, not the same every time. It's part of the plan.

Agreed, hope them fellas have unlimited data! I have been keeping a running tracker this year when I am on...way down from last year but my numbers aren't precise.

Did you get a tag last year? I was never on last year.
 
I got an 021 late rifle tag last year. Agree that if you stew on it for even a few seconds, it's probably gone. But better odds than drawing for most of the late season returns. FCFS is a new part of my strategy

It would have to be something pretty serious that would knock me out for 6 weeks to return the tag before you return the tag before the season. I guess it could happen, but I think I would figure something out to go if I had a desert ram tag and was waking up in a hospital busted up from a car crash or open heart surgery after a heart attack today. If nothing else, get the doctor to write a note if I couldn't get out of the hospital bed before it closes:)

Maybe 2-3 tags get returned in the FCFS window?
 
Was a 205 tag. I was logged in on my phone and not my desktop computer. Stepped away for just a moment to put away some duck decoys and it had popped while I was outside.

I've noticed it will stay up until you refresh or leave that FCFS page.

They do not, as Wis said. I think average kick time is around 11-13 mins, so it will stay there until you refresh or get kicked.
 
I have never seen two at one time either. Not anything I would want. In the past I have seen tags stay for a while on my computer and it would time out on its own. When I tried to get back in it would make me re-log in.
 
Just saw 072-074 bull tag. Its been a hot day. Guess everyone waits to return until the day before. I've largely been on the sidelines watching but may try to make a move tonight if the right tag comes up...
 
Had an enjoyable antelope and deer hunt and kept telling myself I was done with FCFS until next August, unfortunately it sucked me back in like a gambling addict lol. It's not like I'll get a sheep tag but one can dream

Ive been on this stupid thing for hours. I see a deer tag and Im ready to pounce.. I am going to click immediately... I start thinking of my buddies I want to call to see if they can come help me hunt.. I notice its archery.. I dont archery hunt.. :ROFLMAO:. Never even tried to click it

Never saw a 101-109 an hour ago and I was on watching tv...system is weird.
 
has been interesting to see this process play out this year with its changes. Being ineligible for antlered bull elk, this would say so in yellow when a tag posted for myself. This past Thurs was lucky enough to pickup an 271-272 alw deer tag. So now this is on my screen if/when I sign in for a look ... had not been mentioned earlier or seen. GOOD LUCK to those still wanting and or those that have ... Bruce & SilverGrand

If you have a tag for each and they are in season, sure!!! But 061, 071 Bull is over for the season, yesterday was closing for ALW rifle!

Oh I see that. Thought the late season opened tomorrow like other units. Thanks for the heads up.
 
There are still a bunch of other unit late season tags coming up, Nov 6 - Nov 20 and Nov 21 - Dec 4. 062, 064, 066-068 and 072 - 074 starting today, close to 061!

Pretty sure you can only have one elk tag a year in Nevada. I.e if you have a cow tag in a given year you will never see a bull tag on fcfs because you can only have one

Bruce, that disclaimer about the one tag in a 7-day period in your cart has been there all along this year. It is what has kept me from adding a deer tag in hope of an elk tag I want popping up. Look at the bolded lettering at the bottom of your screen.

“New for this year: A person is limited to adding one tag to their shopping card in a 7-day period. Make sure the tag you add to your cart is the one you intend to purchase. Check back later to continue participation in the FCFS program.”
 
YES, I was well aware of 7 day disclaimer ... what I thought of interest was the "PIC" I posted to show OTHERS what happens if/when an applicant does get "LUCKY" in the program. Good Luck to ALL ... Bruce & SilverGrand

Did they recently change this? I’m guessing so cause I’ve had a bull and cow tag same year on two separate occasions. Couple years back when they were trying to murder cows by the boat load and sent the entire herd to another state…

Not sure when it changed but here's page 17 of the Big Game regs:

Eligible persons may apply for both antlered and antlerless
elk. The antlered application will be evaluated and
awarded before the antlerless application. A person may
only obtain one elk tag per year.

Are you the one that turned it in?

A guy I know was able to get if for his son. Will be a good hunt for them. Especially with the weather moving in like it is. Nice to be able to hunt close to home if you can.

I like hunting that unit. I wish they'd issue more than just 2-4 NR ALW tags a year. I like the area.....

I had a guys text me asking if I was the one who got the tag but I was away from my computer unfortunately. :(
 
Am I correct when I say no more deer tags will show up on FCFS this year? The only tags that can come out are for the antlerless elk hunts that start Dec 5th?
