My daughter got the Youth elk tag hunter choice 9/16-24. This will be her first big game hunt, although she has accompanied our family on many other hunts and has helped us pack out deer, this is the first time she has the tag. I have never hunted Utah. My research suggests I start in the Unitas.
We are all fit and will do 10-15 miles per day on backpacking trips, although I would not plan to pack elk more then maybe 5 miles.
I am open minded about paying a reasonable trespass fee, or a drop camp, but my budget is very limited which is why I will probably just DIY. I am looking for advice, direction, recommendations. Thanks in advance.
