Kid, you may or may not know it but Catholics are despised by a lot of other denominations especially Protestants. I don't know if it's true or not but my Aunt told me it's because of the confession thing, lol.

I firmly believe a lot of people are attracted to Religion for the perceived air of superiority they think it gives them over others. They don't really follow what they say they believe in but they won't hesitate to tell you that you should. My favorite is when they can no longer defend their position they'll proclaim "you're going to Hell" as if that somehow ends the argument.
 
My life changed forever in 1997 and it had absolutely nothing to do with a denomination( including Dudes anointing of the Catholic faith and his holiness the pope) it's ALL ABOUT JESUS . Denominations are a creation of man and I can't help but believe those manmade barriers grieve the Lord. It's no more complicated that His Word and Redemptive work for us on the cross .
