Utah Conservation Tags?

I saw a list of conservation tags that are going to be avaialbe this year that are distributed to conservations organizations for marketing. However, I have never seen any of these tags for sale anywhere and I subscribe to just about every Western hunting magazine. Where do I go to get a shot at one of these tags? Or, how can I determine what the market rate is for these particular tags.

LAST EDITED ON Dec-29-07 AT 01:04PM (MST)[p]check your local chapter of SFW, FNAWS, MDF, RMEF, NWTF or come to the big expo in SLC...200 tags there to apply for plus some bidding/auction tags.

There called Conservation tags because the conservation organizations are the ones who auction them off..as well as most govenors tags.Goveners tags are usualy in the $100.000-150.000+ range for deer and elk...

Some F&G also have them..Montana supertag, Idaho, Arizona, New Mexico, Washington and im sure there are a few others that you can buy tickets for, they are usualy in the $25 per ticket range or 5 for $100 ect.

Huntinfool magazine has a membership/ticket drawing going on for sheep hunts and stuff...

They are called conservation tags because the money generated from them MUST go to conservation. They are sold at various banquets/fundraisers. SFW/MDF/RMEF/NWTF/DU/UBA/SCI are among the groups that auction these tags to the highest bidder, with 90% (minimum) going directly to conservation projects.
