Unit 40 archery deer

Anyone have any advise ( I know the unit is not what it once was)

Going scouting July 26 weekend
Aug 1st weekend

Looking for someone willing to talk to that has had this tag before. Thanks in advance

Unit 40 is a peach. Aug 15 through Sept 30. When I scouted for my late 40 tag I never seen much early. Gonna take a drive up there tomorrow and check out a few spots. Not that I have a tag, but still love to spend as much time as possible up there.

It’s a tough hunt for bucks over 180. I have hunted it multiple times and never killed anything worth mentioning. ( got 6 bucks at or over 200) it does have plenty of 130-160 class guys with one here and one there at 170. This year was a great water year down there so maybe the groceries will help with the growth. Lots of forkys, just keep glassing and then glass some more. Cover ground and if possible knock on some doors and get some permission, you never know who will say YES!
