Unit 28 Elk

Now that the application period is over, how many of you put in for unit 28? With only 8 tags I am sure that the odds won't be great. How good of a hunt will it be? I would think that folks that hunt the very southern end of 34 should have some insight. Thanks, Ed.

NMelk, I talked with a couple guys on here about it, and will probably be hunting with one if we draw. It was our 3rd choice. By the time Dec rolls around I will have about 62.5 days of vacation on the books and since the winter crushed the pheasants "back home" in ND, I have to do something. Figured it would be better than sitting on the couch watching hunting videos.

As you know it was my 3rd choice too. I think our odds will be better being that we applied for the Military Only tag. I'll be happy to get out there with you to give you a hand and I know NMPaul wouldn't mind coming out too. Odds may be good due to it being the 1st year for this hunt....we'll see.
