Turkey Down!

Hey guys hows the turkey chasing going? Trapking and I went out this weekend looking for some sheds and birds. It was pretty slow for both but found a few sheds and birds. We found this group of turkeys on saturday and Trapking got this bird all fired up. It circled us one way and then back the next. I was able to draw back as he went behind a tree and he came out at full strut and strutted right at us. I let the arrow fly at 33 yards and Judo chopped this Tom..That Rage broadhead tore him up..I'm ready to try for bird #2 ..good luck guys

Nice. With a bow to boot. Myself, Khart and my son Zach went out this morning. Got some well needed exercise, saw and heard birds but no shots.

Nice Job, Fighter!!! An uncle of mine and myself went 3 for 3 in two days. I'm still looking for bird #2 and will try it with my bow next weekend. Again congrats.

Awesome job. We can't seem to get it done with a shotgun. I'd love to kill one with my bow, but I'm afraid I need more practice with my calling. Congrats.--Kevin

congrats on your thunder chicken bullfighter! Jen and i our not having much luck all of our birds have been piliged and molested already have not heard a gobble in 3 days ouch!!!

I must say nmbullfighter that was a sweet shot you made on that bird! Next time your calling for me! NMHUNTER1 we should plan a weekend trip with the girls and go slay some more gobblers, what do ya say?

Congrats again to all that were successfull on the 2009 turkey season! I finally put the bow away after missing a perfect shot on a big tom and pulled out the shotgun and harvested two beautiful NM gobblers!

We chased them around for a few days and my brother got a nice gobbler. I had a few close encounters, but no shot opportunities this year. Pics are posted in the NM forum on 4/26 under "turkey for dinner".
