So this weekend my 14 year old and I are going to the NE area and going to try our hand at our first WY white tails. I have not ever been in that area except one time to devil tower. I am trying to determine if the roads we will use to access the forest are gnarly and need a jeep or if I will be fine in my ram? Plan is to drive and hit a whole bunch of smaller section that are scattered and sometime in the larger forest sections. Will the pickup do alright or should I bring the rubicon? The truck will get to and from the hunt a lot better, but the jeep will be a lot better off road or if it get nasty.

There is supposed to be some weather today and some on Saturday but nothing major.

Good luck to you ! Pickup will be just fine, the roads up in the Bear Lodge are about as good as you’re gonna get ! Some of that ground around Moskee might be worth a look, or even clear up near the state line I’ve seen some good whiteys over the years !
