A week later I took another drive and took these pics. More snow. It's really beginning to pile up. This will be my last trip for the winter. Winter is taking her toll on the critters. My favorite golden eagle will be well fed this winter. We go back a few years. The last pic is a buck I photographed the week before. He had moved about 50 yds. He posed well both times. I sensed he was in trouble the first week, but when I saw him this day, I knew he was toast.

I thought it was a calf drowning when I saw it. I was shocked at how poor a swimmer he was. Taking a good picture of a buffalo is like taking a good picture of a cow.

Bear pic since wifey and I bumped a bear yesterday on our mornin hike. It’s the little cinnamon in the trail cam pic. Always exciting to stare down a bear at 15 yards.
