Well, not that big of a deal really except for the parents that really mack out with their kids (mostly moms - though there was one dad who looked like he was going for the gold!) . We did the same trick at our high school except it was just a small mom-like peck. The principal should have stipulated that when he told the parents about it.

Thats a old time high school prank . I remember even 25 years ago when I went to school they did that prank with some football players .
