My buddy and I are planning a 3-4 day pack/fish trip in a couple weeks. We'll be taking my 3 horses... I'm looking for a good trailhead to leave out of. I'm hoping for a trip not too rocky, but kinda hard to get away from those in the Rocky Mountains! Originally thought of the uintahs, but my buddy is a year or two from getting a Wasatch elk tag so that came up too... We are just wanting to get out and have a good weekend and give the horses a good workout. Thanks in advance!

My oldest son had planned a 3 day pack into the area between Tie fork and white river, to look at elk. His plans fell apart, He likes the area for viewing Bulls this time of year but never hunts there. He has tells me the trail "aint to bad dad, even an old guy like you could do it".
