Nevada FCFS date available?

Front page of the website.

I am guessing none have been turned in yet that meet the criteria.

Within the 2 weeks of a hunt beginning. Any tag turned in before 2 weeks goes to an alternate, as it should.

I picked a NR antelope tag off it last year. Shot a 14" antelope in a "bad" unit. Really cool system here I wish more of the western states would do this!
I saw 3 resident archery HLTE tags this morning. They were up a lot longer than I thought they would be.

I think that will go to an alternate, right? Because it is not 2 weeks prior to the season dates? Why did you turn it in? Resident tag?
I think you're right, an alternate should get first dibs on a tag like this. I turned it in because when it rains, it pours. I also drew a Wyoming elk tag that somewhat conflicts with this deer hunt dates.

For those guys that didn't draw much of anything else and want to be in the field. :)
Those folks have plenty of opportunities to hunt otc bulls in Colorado or Utah. The people that publicize FCFS will only continue to make it harder to get a tag.

Congrats! Awesome tag and will be a fun hunt with lots of action and good chances of success. Good numbers of elk on public land. Figure out where they are traveling to water or a guzzler and you can set up for some daily ambush action. Good luck and have fun!-----SS

I got you! Hope to see some good bulls and some good muley bucks slide in for a drink. My 12 year old is super excited about going and honestly, im getting excited myself. I’ll probably know where a big bull and buck is hanging out by the time it’s all said and done.

I picked up an archery cow tag last year, different unit same general area. I had a blast, way more enjoyable than I anticipated. Ate tag soup with a smile on my face.

Freaking cow elk are not that easy to kill though 😂

up now...

This thread is exploiting FCFS?

Or, @Aerosith is exploiting FCFS by obtaining multiple tags per year? And he doesn't want anyone talking?

You funny.

There is a great difference between dedicating hundreds of hours a year to try and get a FCFS tag, than blasting it all over the internet to thousands of people. I’m not mad, I just think it is stupid to blast high quality tags all over the internet every time one pops up. Besides I already have several great tags this year in multiple states.

Hundreds of hours? Please......

The good ones are there and gone so by anyone posting about them isn't going to change a thing because by the time the post hits MM, it most likely gone. Anyone going to MM to find about FCFS should be a good thing for you, right? They're on the wrong site to grab that same tag you want?

You can believe what ever you want, but I do indeed dedicate hundreds of hours yearly to have a chance at snatching a tag. Just because you do not share the same desire or passion in hunting the same way others do, does not make it not true. If the good ones are gone by the time it is posted here, then why post about it? Would that make any sense. My point is like I have already stated, the more attention FCFS gets the harder it gets for everyone. Many of these tags take years and years to draw or would cost $$$ to buy on the landowner tag market.

Hey, while we’re at it let’s keep the Colorado returned tag list quiet also. I wouldn’t want Huntin’ fool, go hunt and epic outdoors to tell their millions of subscribers.
Therein lies the problem. Every little opportunity is blown up now a days. Hunters shouldn't complain about too many people seeking tags now. We do it to ourselves.

He can't complain too much. He just picked up a deer tag fcfs.
The same Utard snags three FCFS tags? Including rifle rut pronghorn and rifle rut elk? Most Nevada residents have never been on such hunts.

How many FCFS tags would he have to snag before he has exploited Nevada and the applicants with many more points than he?

It would not be fair to an alternate to give too short of a notice. If it were a preference draw system full points restoration for a returned tag that goes FCFS because the deadline is short would add wait for others. I guess FCFS is as good as anything to assure that the buyer actually wants it. It does cost the purchaser points and puts the purchaser in applicable waiting periods.

You're welcome.....WTF are you complaining about? LOL
Why do I have to repeat my self multiple times? Blasting all over the internet about when tags pop up on FCFS is what I had an issue with. If y'all want to blast FCFS be my guest.
The folks that do that are only shooting themselves in the foot.

Utard? You don't even know me! I am not even from Utah nor was I raised here. I drew one of those tags and the others were FCFS, you are just making claims based on false information and emotional reaction. Too bad that some residents have never been on those hunts, I spent over 300 hours that year to get those tags. If they wanted they could have done the same. Not to mention NV is 90/10 R/NR, one the most conservative states on non resident tags. Please explain to me who I exploited? It is Nevada residents that created the regulations the way they were in 2022, with non residents being able to pick up returned resident tags. At the end of 2022 it was changed to you can only pickup a FCFS of your same residency.

The more Y’all keep this up just brings more attention. Shhhh, talk quieter - like you’re stalking in on a big bull.
As if the hunting community doesn;t know these tags or this system exists? You guys get that there's more hunters in the know than what you realize.....talking about FCFS on MM is not raising eyebrows to saavy hunters looking to find a "sneaky" tag. Look at aeorsith.....over they past few years, I am sure he's got several FCFS tags. Good for him. I don't try to keep any from finding a tag...just help some that may need one.

Wizard I get it, this is a drop in the bucket, monster muleys, it’s not gonna wreck the odds that’s for sure.

It would be nice to see what pops up even if you can’t try for it. Being a NR and in waiting periods for DBH and Elk not much to see.
I always keep a word tracker on FCFS resident for kicks. Started watching July 26th and have tracked 38 returns, mostly speed goats, 3 Muley and 8 Elk anterless. All northern units for the most part which are getting hammered with smoke. One of the Muley's was in 17, nice hunt that one!

How bad does your vagina hurt at night? WOuld you like some cranberry juice?

Me or a family member have picked up a FCFS tag every year so far. We are all residents that didn't draw. I think FCFS is great.

You do realize that a NR cannot get a resident tag in FCFS right?

I love the tag posts. I have spent hours and I have never seen a tag available. Great job getting a tag.
Agree, I see a few tags and always screen shot the ones I do not choose to cart or cannot cart, just to recall what may be possible.
Been seeing some archery antelope and deer.

recent tags include Archery for
Deer 114/115

Antelope
132-134/245
21/22
