Name that tune

LAST EDITED ON May-14-10 AT 01:16PM (MST)[p]And another..... Terry

"Everybody, listen to me,
And return me, my ship.
I'm your captain, I'm your captain,
Although I'm feeling mighty sick."

Make it a double...

"You won't find me, knockin' at your door
I've known forever, you don't love me no more
If you don't want to lay there, with your mouth shut tight
I'm gettin' myself together, yes I'm leavin' tonight"

LAST EDITED ON May-14-10 AT 01:20PM (MST)[p]I walked forty-seven miles of barbed wire,
I got a cobra snake for a necktie
A brand new house on the road side,
"And it's made out of rattlesnake hide
Got a brand new chimney put on top,
And it's made out of human skull
Come on take a little walk with me child,
Tell me...

And here's another one:

On the day I was born
The nurses all gathered 'round
And they gazed in wide wonder
At the joy they had found
The head nurse spoke up
Said "leave this one alone"
She could tell right away
That I was... "

Gotta Love a little George Thorogood.....It's Friday... Give me one Bourbon... One Scotch.... and One Beer..... Terry

Here's another.
The only 2 things in life that make it worth living is guitars tuned good and firm feeling women.

And

So check your attitude at the front door, I'm really getting tired of taking all of this #### while I'm sober
I'm thinkin that I'd rather be....

2 different songs from 2 different music worlds see if someone can get both?

Drawing a blank on the first one but the second is puddle of mud, stoned,

How about this one,
"I can still remember the words and what they meant,
As we etched them with our fiingers,
In years of wet cement."

Rub some dirt on it, ya sissy!

You need to broaden your musical horizons kawboy!

justr-your first one up there was "Luckenbach, Texas"-Waylon & Willie.

I can't do the double plays because I'm nearly all country...

I have a huge variety of music on my mp3 player and cds. Old country and new country, old and new rock and hard rock, punk. Pretty much anything but pop and hip hop. When I put it on random I get hank jr to poison to slipknot to rise against then back to king george and everything in between.

"Leather boots are still in style for manly footwear
Beads and roman sandals won't be seen
Footballs still the roughest thing on campus
And kids there still respect the college dean"

Rub some dirt on it, ya sissy!

>"Swing Low, Sweet Chariot".............

Not sure who really sings it, but it is on Blazing Saddles.

Nocked N Loaded

"Swing Low,Sweet Chariot"

Old negro spiritual first sung by slaves in the fields.Written prior to 1862 by Wallis Willis,a Choctaw freedman inspired as he looked at the Red river between Oklahoma and Texas which reminded him of the Jordan river and the prophet Elijah being taken up to heaven by God in a chariot.

First recoreed by The Jubilee Singers of Fisk University in 1909.Honored by the Library of Congress in 2002 as one of the top 50 American songs of all time.
