Most of your hunt will be spent spotting and stalking mule deer from high vantage points in the back country of this amazing unit. Mountain timber, sagebrush flats, willow bottoms and agricultural fields cover this property south of Salmon and two hours from Idaho Falls. A quality hunt on an entirely private property with bulls ranging from 250-330+. We do have elk over the 350 mark, but the big boys get big for a reason.

Details: This area has a great elk population and excellent hunting. Our preferred hunting method during archery is transition terrain from feed to bedding areas early in the morning or evenings. Another method is glassing to find elk on slower rutting days and planning a stalk. This can be a physically demanding hunt, especially when we into more secluded areas. The bulls in this area range from 260-350+. The area is moderate to steep with heavy east facing timber pockets, mixed with open sage and aspen trees on west slopes.
