Cool story bro… did your pals tell you all about him spending a million on governors Deer tags in Az, and never shooting a buck? Probably not. Just sit on the internet and talk Sh!t. It’s easier from the living room
it’s clear that you don’y know him…bro. I don’t give a sh!t how much he spends.

He’s about to kill another 200” Ram in Colorado, you might not like him, but he is killing the biggest Mule Deer and Sheep onthe planet laughing and smiling all the time. Congrats Jimmy
Be careful, people don’t like honesty!!!😎😎
Beyond disturbing & disgusting to let Super Rich characters like him & so many others with more $$$$ than most people have in 1000 lifetimes get away with legalized poaching & get 501 (c) 3 tax deductions too yet, in most cases- makes me & many others want to puke 🤮. I stand by what I say - it’s outrageous. Thank goodness Az had the brains 🧠 to finally stop that after God knows how many years- I think they started that crap in 1990. Not sure- just a guess !

Great white hunter ….🤣

Write check, pull trigger, grip/grin, write check.
You got that 100 % correct !!! After teams of guides cover the state by land & air for months , usually, to find the best & biggest - then notify “ great white hunter “- get here & pull the trigger after your ride in your private jet while sipping cocktails. Sounds like a great plan ! 🤮

Great ram ! All that money going into sheep, hunting and conservation is great. JJ could be like a lot of rich people and spend his money on liberal, woke organizations trying to end hunting. A lot of poor folk don’t get it, they are mainly just jealous that they will never be able to buy any kind of tag, be it a cheap landowner cow tag or a great tag like JJ bought. Thank you JJ for not being one of the anti hunting woke rich guys!

Yeah and he paid a 300,000 trespass fee to be able to shoot that Colorado ram here shortly

That’s a lot of pent up anger. So he shouldn’t have built a successful sandwich business and sold it? I guess when he had one sandwich shop and he was the guy working behind the counter he should have shut it down once he started making a huge profit so he didn’t offend anyone? How is that disturbing and disgusting?

Jerry, he doesn’t make the rules but “…legalized poaching” is a stretch. Heck of a nice ram

I saw on Bone Collector TV show last night he had Nick Mundt and Michael Waddell back to his Illinois farm for WT season. They showed his "garage" briefly, with about a hundred mounts and dozens of collector sports cars. There were at least 8 huge rams on the wall that I could see!! I can't even imagine the bottom line of his spending

Hes a billionaire, its all pocket change.

I would guess 80% of big horn sheep hunters and sheep hunters in general go guided. Too bad so many people dissapoint you.

Dude seems to love hunting and spends some major $. Good for him. And wow, how did that ram go so long without getting hammered.
This was the first year for unit 6 Jemez Sheep hunt since sheep were relocated there in 2013. The ram scored 205 11/16 and was the number 2 ram targeted. They couldn't find the initial ram , I believe fell prey to one of the MANY lions up there.

I don't even want to think about how much money I would spend on hunting and fishing if I was a billionaire.

I would be fine if all these purchase tags went away, but I'll never begrudge someone buying one while the states make them available. As they say, don't hate the player, hate the game.

At his reported net worth, he could do that 1,000 more times and still have half of his fortune remaining.

That's pretty mind blowing to consider in a poor man's brain like mine!
Mine too- can’t ever imagine that much $$$$ to blow like that on a giant ego trip. Brings to mind all or many super heads taken in ‘50’s & ‘60’s in B/C record book taken by hot shot super wealthy dudes who would fly around with their
“Guides “ ?, find a monster, drop out of sky, land, bang, done deal - put in book. Really bad on polar bears 🐻‍❄️ especially- Even as just a kid then I read the stories & 🤮 - but it was LEAGAL as hell even then !!! I thought Holy Cats- that’s hunting ??!!???????- OMG 😱! That’s not ever !
Later came the Governors tags, etc. Some crap never changes- All $$$$$$ to many . Ugh.!
Hell the Brother of the late Shah of Iran even got into that game too. My memory is still very good on that mess . Ugh 😩.

lol…JJ made millions/billions and is out taking record book critters, spending what ever he feels like spending….one adventure after another, livin the dream and the haters are probably home in their apartment sitting on the couch with their Dell computer on their lap hating on Ol JJ.😂

We get the point Jerry........
Glad you remember too ??? I hope. Those times took out lots of great genetics of many super animals - particularly Alaska moose & Polar Bears too. The Bush Pilots did not miss much in those days - did not have to wait until tomorrow.
Just drop out of the sky like a peregrine falcon. 😩

That's some serious cash. Cheaper to poach one which is unfortunate
For sure !! Poachers own the “legal system”- its a joke to those guys - usually never caught

IMO...if you got it ..use it,can't take it with you..and alot of that money goes to good use In conservation

I can see how some people would be mad at all the big Rams JJ shot, but if his money for conservation projects and transplants, produced 10 more permits available for the public, is this a bad thing?

Well, he and others like him keep spending more and more on governors tags each year, and there always seem to be less tags available to the general public🤷🏼‍♂️ color me skeptical that all of this money does hunting any good considering the image he portrays to the rest of the non hunting general public. Next time he buys a tag(I don’t care how much he spends), goes out and does it DIY or with a small group of buddies, then it doesn’t get plastered all over the internet, at that point I’ll be impressed.

Do you honestly think the non-hunting public views your successful hunting pictures any differently than JJ’s successful hunting pictures?

I don’t. I think these types of things bother hunters way more than non-hunters.

Like I said above, I’d be totally fine if we got rid of all the purchase tags. I think commercialization and big money is ruining the activity I love. But if I had a net worth north of $2 billion, and there was a hunt I wanted available to purchase, I’d purchase it. Every time!

Yes I think they view images like this

Or This

A little differently than something like this

And that is not me condemning him for hunting those species, but the way he hunts has a certain optic and image to it that in the end in my opinion is more likely to end hunting for you and I. Fact is unless someone is frequenting sites like MM or Rokslide, so likely a hunter, or a close personal friend of mine, they aren’t going to see my hunting images anyway because I’ve decided at this point that unless I’m on a curated website for hunters, my images will not be on any social media anymore and subject to the potential of adding more fuel to the anti hunting fire.

Maybe he will get a little closer than 800 yards when he comes back to Colorado. No reason to shoot rams on that property that far away

Bringing Africa into it, I agree with your sentiment. African game, especially the high priced species that people associate with human existence, carry a different stigma and you are right, many in the non-hunting public. So yes, if we are talking about elephants and rhinos, I agree. I just thought we were discussing what was in this thread.

I don’t think 5% of the non-hunting public would view these two pictures any differently.

I agree that the majority of the non hunting public wouldn’t see a difference in these two pictures, but my hunting pictures get posted only to hunting specific sites vs Jimmy John’s animals being plastered all over Facebook and instagram for the general public to view. I know it may not seem like much but to me there is a vast difference between posting on a curated forum for those who are seeking out hunting related content vs posting on mass social media for the general public.
