Help me pick a scope!

Howdy friends. I recently picked up a new 300WM, looking for some good scope recommendations. I really like the specs of the Leupold VX-5HD 3-15 and VX-6-HD 3-18. anyone have any experience with these? Anything else in the price range I should consider? I really like the idea of the Leupold CDS system, but I’ve heard varied opinions on it. I do have a short list of criteria for the scope

-excellent low light performance
-made in USA/German glass preferred.
-no crazy tactical or long range reticles
-simple to use (I’m not opposed to turrets but they need to be simple enough for me to understand).

For context, I am not a long range hunter. I want to feel confident in my set up to out to 4 or 500 yards, but I am not taking 1000 yard shots. I am primarily a bow hunter so this rifle stuff is a little out of my wheel house. Any input or insight is appreciated!

I have the Leupold vx5 x 44. I really like the scope. I do not like the bigger objective lenses (too big on the gun for me).

I put a Leopold VX-6 with CDS on my 300WM. Send in all the data with 180 gr bullets....Money

Schmidt and Bender 3-18 meta. Simple reticle, and will return to zero every time. I’ve had 2 different vx6’s and neither would track. I’ll never own another.

Absolutely, put that on my list. I also forgot to mention I will not own a vortex.
