Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. We get together with Family and eat great food and visit. Just what a Holiday is for. I am smoking ribs this year just to be different.

Happy Thanksgiving to all!!! I'm thankful for my family, for being blessed with our late in life birth of our now 2 yr old girl. Thankful for our oldest son who is active duty US Army. Thankful for at least one more year of life for my Dad. And thankful for being an American!!!!

I was with my 12 year old grandson when he shot his first elk on Thanksgiving day this year. It was just a small 5 point, but it's bigger than anything I have gotten in over 30 years of elk hunting including over 200 days in the field, mostly in Utah and mostly back in the days when elk were relatively scarce.
