What is everyones favorite DIY homemade deer attractant?

Seems like most people use Jello, Kool-Aid, or Pudding powder with salt and sugar?

Most popular flavors of Jello and Kool-Aid seem to be Grape & Cherry.

Most popular flavor of Pudding seem to be Butterscotch and Vanilla.

Then people use all different kinds of Salt (Table, Stock, Mineral) and Sugar (Granulated, Powder, Brown).

What is your favorite mix and how much of each product do you use in your mix?

How do you use your mix? Pour straight on ground or stump, over a mineral or feed block, over/mixed in with loose feed (corn, rice bran, alfalfa), mix with molasses?

I use trace mineral salt 40lbs, 2 pre mixed cherry kool, 4 vanilla pudding,10lbs of white sugar, and 4 green apple jello packets and a big bag of whole peanuts. Mix that all up. It works great.

Years ago I tried just about everything there was out there in MS before they made baiting illegal.
The 2 things that I found that the deer went absolutely crazy over were a huge pile of apples or a giant tub of peanut butter.
I would literally laugh out loud watching deer licking the peanut butter. They loved it.

I don’t believe that’s legal here in CO.
That libtard state doesn’t allow recreational trapping, much less baiting, trades with fellow libtard state, OR, for wolves, and now lets the people vote to ban mountain lion hunting. Who is that fish and game commission in bed with? Oh, wait, forgot “Parks” is part of thier title and evidently sole interest. Pitiful!

Yup…..be sure and tell all your friends (y)

I’m not sure, but I don’t think any western states, including the less liberal ones don’t allow baiting or feeders for anny deer and reading this sounds just wrong. But if it’s legal in your state….

Of course I’m sure many Idahoans use the same stuff in their bear baits.
