A buddy of mine is the thrilled recipient of that lone 201 nonres archery elk tag. He had 29 points.

Congrats!!! Our group also drew GMU 21, 2nd season, NR. If I can ask...how many points did you have to burn? Res or NR?

How many points? I knew it was a stretch with 6 but went for it anyway.

Last year it took 7 for sure, and some 6's got drawn. I'm guessing point creep took it up 2-3 points this year. We got drawn...but with 10 points each.

I called as well and had the lady I spoke with, send me my confirmation. I pretty much knew I drew cause my points were zero and my credit card had the charge on it but I'm not taking any chances on my deer tag. lol.

Why don't you just set up your cc account to text you when there is a charge over "X" amount? You'll know within a few minutes and not waste your day.

I'm confused on when CC's will get hit this year if you're successful in the draw. The regs say they charge awarded license payments automatically and send a courtesy email but it also says if you don't surrender the license by June 6 then they will charge the CC on file.

So help this dumby out, do they charge the cc as soon as the draw happens or after the June 6 turn-in period?

I mean it could be something else but I have 2 charges from colorado parks and wildlife on my bank now showing pending and 1 matches the amount billed for my moose point and the other charge matches the amount for my bear tag.

Starting to think I should have put in yesterday for Wyoming deer and antelope for myself and 3 boys. . We will see how it plays out for deer and then the elk for the wife. We have a couple hunts right now and we will be fine.

Nope they were just kidding. Maybe I'm in a sour mood for not drawing a deer tag but CPW did a really crappy job explaining the way credit cards will be charged this year. With that said, I am glad they did charge the cards today as it sure takes a long time to get the emails out and update the online accounts.
