California Desert BH Sheep

I’m sad to say that I lost a close friend on June 14th but not only did I loose a friend but desert sheep in California lost a valuable resource. On his days off Andrew would dedicate his personal time and money to working on, monitor and repairing guzzlers to help desert BH sheep as well as other wildlife. Some of you on here may have known or hunted beside Andrew as he had helped and been apart of over 100 desert sheep hunts in California. In memory of Andrew we are trying to raise funds along with California wild sheep foundation to build a guzzler in memory of him and to put and keep sheep on the mountain, something that Andrew would be proud of and will benefit the sheep herd in California. Thanks for taking a look and donating to the cause.

Sorry for your loss. I've seen him in lots of sheep harvest photos over the years. Sounds like he put lots of time and effort into California's sheep herds. Folks like him are very hard to come by. Condolences to his family and friends.

I’m sure you and many others have. He definitely helped many others achieve dreams of killing there desert bighorn and definitely did a lot of work to make sure the sheep had water to survive. Very true not to many people in this world like Andrew.

Hey Brad, Kevin here. You and Tim came to my house with Tim's bull back in April. I first met Andrew in 2008 with Tim. He had just killed a great blacktail with his bow and we met him up in camp. I then got to spend a lot of time with him on Tim's sheep hunt back in 2015 on the scouting trips as well as on the hunt. I saw him again on the devils garden helping a kid with an antelope tag back in 2018 while I was helping my brother on his tag. Andrew was always helping people, and spreading his infectious love of hunting. My heart sank when Tim called me to let me know what had happened. Sounds like you guys were close as well. Sorry for your loss. Thanks for sending this along, I will happily contribute.

Thank you ! And I’m glad you had the pleasure and opportunity to meet and share some hunting time with Andrew. He was definitely exactly what you described always willing to help others and passionate about hunting and the animals.
