Just wanted some insight on what bow to get my wife. I love shooting mathews. I was thinking of getting the mathews ignition. It will be 40-50lbs and 24 inch draw. Any one have any suggestions?

The Bowtech Equalizer is another great bow for shorter draw lengths. I think it has a 40-50# or 50-60# draw weight. It's pretty fast too for a low poundage bow.

My wife shoots a Mathews Mustang. The Bowtech Equilizer and the ignition are also great bows.

I know you said you like the Mathews, but I just got my wife a Hoyt Trykon Sport, and it is a sweet bow! Not too bad on price either. I think for just the bow was a little over $300. You might want to check it out.

my wife just got herself a Diamond Edge 40-50#. she really likes the bow. didn't hurt the wallet either. all together w/ arrows and release was under 500.00

hit the pro shop and have her try all of em. preference is the key to answering which one is best.

My husband got me a Hoyt V-Tec 50 to 60 #'s! I shoot about 53 pounds! I love that bow!
I got my antelope with it so far this year!
Its a great bow!
Just thought I would share! :D

The biggest problem with a bow for the wife is getting it too heavy. Most women of smaller stature have a hard time holding a fully rigged bow up steady for the shot. I would look at the lightest bows you could.

With that said. My buddy bought his wife the ignition and she shot a 3x3 blacktail with it this year. My wife shoots a martin leopard. She liked it over the ignition. Both bows are around $329 out here. So I would definetly let her shoot a bunch of bows.

I think the equalizer is heads and shoulders above the rest, but you pay for it.

My wife bought the Ignition and loves it. The best part she likes is the competition grip that comes with it.
