Bonus Point /Big Game License for Utah

I have a boy that will be gone for two years. He wants me to put him in for bonus points for the big game draw while he is gone. Will he be required to have a valid big game licence if all he wants to do is draw bonus points?

yes you need a license to apply for hunts or bonus points.

The License is good for one year. So you can buy one in the middle of the application period and buy the point. Just make sure you put a reminder in your calendar to buy the second year early so you don't have to buy a second license.
