i have a tag but the country i am hunting is realy rough i would have never been able to recover that sheep. i spent all day trying to find a way down to him. then today i jumped 5 rams one that was 30 inches but same thing they were in these ledges on some cliffs, maybe tomorrow they will be in a better location.

Well it sounds like your doing pretty well. I am hoping to just see one, even if I do not get a shot. I am glad to see hunters making ethical decisions prior to pulling the trigger, recovery can be a pain in the butt. Good luck man.

Trust me mozey it crossed my mind a time or two but it would have taken some mountain climbing gear to get down to him. It wasn't just because it was a tough hike out of there.

So, critical hunting gear for the Floridas includes a harness, 8.5mm rope, a few 'biners and stoppers, an eight, and a pair of jumars. That's several more pounds of gear in the pack, but nothing like what we hauled halfway up El Cap a few years ago.

If you'se guys get caught in such a situation send me a note - it sounds like fun.
