I'm sorry but I agree with you that he might not have an idea what he killed. He took 2 pics of that deer from the roll on his phone in the bottom pic. I would have pics of every angle of that deer along with my big ass smile. Maybe the hunter doesn't care. Is he an old guy, eel?

My grandpas best black tail was similar, maybe 28” but a 3x3 with eye guards, his last deer in fact. I bet he never measured any of them. To bad mom through the rack in the trash

I showed the photos to our local B&C measurer, and he said it should score well. He only goes by official measurements and wouldn't offer a guess. He said he heard of quite a few big bucks that were killed opening weekend despite the hot weather and the moon phase.

Very true. If this was my buck I would gladly say where but I'm not sure how he would feel, so I won't. There is still a lot of hunting season left and he will probably want to go back up there.

I've also heard of a couple monsters taken in the Yollo Bollys.

We hunted just south of there growing up. Only did a few hunts near the coast.
