Any Other LE Muzzy Buck hunters for Next Week

Looks like we are going to have some weather coming in for the early part of the hunt.

Maybe get some Pre-Rut action going on.

Depending on which unit you drew, prolly see some Ram and Ewe rutting going on too.

Have a great and safe hunt All,

Robb
Seen a little buck lip curling this morning

Good luck Robb!

I got back from my hunt.

When I get caught up, I'll do a post hunt recap.

Had some weather that is for sure.

Temps in the low teens when I would leave the JPGladiator to hunt most mornings.

I was running a little behind on Opening Morning.

I pretty much watched for does and then did some spot-n-stalking to see if a decent buck was around them.

I try and use natural blind to help hide me from view.

Spent time on the winter range for elk, sheep, deer and antelope.

Dropped down into Browns Park, what a beautiful area.

I spent some time along the Wyoming ( LQ Deer 102) and Utah border.

The Utah side of Bender Mnt. and TeePee Mnt.

With the new Open Site rule, I wanted to get under 100 yards for a clean ethical shot as I'm a stickler that my Tag is good for 1 animal. Wounded, not Recovered counts a filling my tag to me.

I wanted an older age class 4x Buck and I did see slim to none but a few were around.

Yeah, it was freaking cold and toss in the breeze.

Howdy PD!

I Wished Others Had The Same MindSet On This!

Hope You Did Well!

I did find the nice big buck I would like to harvest and bird-dog him for 2 days for a perfect broadside/under 100 yards shot.

Even if I tried to make him as sweet and dreamy as Erics Henry's buck, not close!

For those that haven't seen his thread

I don't think I have ever hunted in such tall sagebrush before, maybe over around Rangely, Colo. bow hunting elk in unit 21??

ON the 2nd day of trying to put him down, I sat and watch him from a small high spot, and he was working all those does and running off another smaller 4x and a tall 3x and then back on the does.

I should have taken some pix of him, but I didn't chance it.

After about 45 minutes I was frozen up and just decided to let his big buck genes get spread around to the rutting does and I didn't shoot him.

They had all moved off and out of range anyway.

I've gotten more and more that I love the hunt, but I don't have to harvest to enjoy it.

I'll toss some final pix up.

Almost Ice fishing time up @ Spirit Lake and a 'uge bull moose too.

I got my T/C .50 cal. all cleaned up from the weather and ready for my Iowa Whitetail hunt next month.

1 happy surprise was using e-Gloves/mittens. My hands always freeze up from those long days skiing up @ Snowbasin and Powder Mnt. back in the day.

Having had Raynaulds for years, those e Gloves did workout pretty nice.
