Any gray wolves seen in Utah this year?

I know you’ll be abused if you calm you have seen one, without a picture, so feel free to PM me if you would rather not share a sighting with the public.

I’ve been told, second hand, about one sighting, just curious if anyone else saw it or others in different locations.

No wolves in Utah. Just a few big coyotes, but no wolves.

Like I’ve said before, there is no way a Wolf could make it into Utah without hitting a bait pile or a trail cam within the first two hundred and with everyone wearing thermal binoculars I would say you guys are safe for now. But here’s one killed in Idaho

I have to laugh at this. People think that cameras cover the entire state. In reality, they likely cover significantly less than 1/1,000th of 1% of the land.

There was a wolf a while back, 2013 I believe, that went from Wyoming to Arizona. Pretty safe to assume if there was one that came through Utah over a decade ago, there has been one or two since then.

That's my favorite kind of wolf, a dead one!

I saw one up in white rocks Uintas when I was a teen but that was over 30 years ago. He was a single loner kicked out of the pack or wanderer. So yes they have been singles spotted here and there like the one in Beaver a few years ago that was shot. But I don't believe they have been in any significant numbers. I always laugh when I hear guys say there are packs on the Manti. May as well go out and hunt for sasquach as wolves in Utah.

The one that came through in 2013 was seen all the way down through Utah, seen howling by the Grand Canyon in Arizona and then killed in Utah coming back through( big coyote)
