Headed up for first trip to scout for my Oct Elk tag in 36A1, not A2. Not asking for general info, I’ll figure that out in person, plus I have some experience in unit before.
What I was hoping for help with is, where do the Outfitters set up their elk camps? I know White Cloud camped at E Fork of the E Fork(no not a typo, an actual place) 10 yrs ago, though they may move for rifle.
Heard another camped above Jimmy Smith somewhere. Again, this was 10 yr old info.
I’m asking as I want to avoid these camps, not crowd them. I also don’t want to waste miles of boot leather to scout areas I’ll later want to avoid.
PS. If any Goat or Sheep tag holders want to PM me, I’ll be happy to share info privately. I had the goat tag in ‘14. No sheep tag, yet…. I’ll be in there a couple times before 10/1.
