I notice you want proof of the obvious from me but when the rest of these yahoos start talking about "steroids" you keep quiet. You just want proof when your ego is threatened with the fact that the American west is settled and all of our deer live with and feed off of our civilization. Its just reality. Are there a handful of deer out there that live a life without supplements? Probably. But they would be a tiny minority of the deer in the US. If you have hunted deer and been successful you more than likely killed a deer that was supplemented.

Tristate, I don’t have a problem with you. I think you make good arguments and I love to argue. Is proof of the obvious the same as a a farm deer getting its biology altered in carrying capacity, feed, testosterone and breeding? Is it as reasonable to believe that as it is to believe other deer found supplements like salt or minerals?
 
Tristate you need to get out west more. we don't all do things like you texicans. I've never fed supplements out on pasture and not many when they come in.

As far as what the 300" buck ate, we're talking Mexico , so if DDT , anthrax and radioactive waste grew antlers he'd get double servings. so to compare that with a wild buck that may have had a flake of feeder quality alfalfa is ludicrous.

On the good side , you manage to be the underdog on this site more often than I do. and for that we thank you.

I don't have a problem with you either Coues anyone on this thread.

However we don't know that this deer is a "farm deer". We know through admission that it was killed within a high fence. And there is a difference. Carrying capacity, feed, testosterone, and breeding doesn't change biology.

We can't tell anything about carrying capacity where this buck was killed with the information we have. We can't tell anything about his diet. It certainly appears he wasn't deficient. We also can't tell anything about his breeding. We can't tell anything about the testosterone in this deer. However I can tell you people who do breed deer don't mess with testosterone so I don't know why anyone would decide thats important here.
 
By looking at the deer I killed, you could come to the same conclusion except they weren’t killed in an escape proof location. The same could be said about their supplement intake if we are going off of pictures.

Can you tell us the differences between a farm deer and high fence? Is it just square footage and no vaccinations, supplemental feed, selective breeding, and carrying capacity at just below K. I’m asking because I don’t know. I see pics of high fence operations and they have tags in their ears and one buck before this has a photo out there of it captured and months later it shows up dead. Was this the same high fence place or was it a farm deer? How many times do the high fence deer get handled by human hands before they die? I can’t say for sure, but I don’t think any human touched the deer I killed before they died.
 
Farm deer are deer that are traded for money while they are alive. They are handled constantly. Every aspect of their life is handled and controlled. Just like cattle. Their seamen is handled and sold. Everything they eat is formulated and stress is kept to a minimum. More importantly is all costs are traced .

High fence deer are deer that live within an eight foot fence. That's it. Thats the only difference between them and low fence deer. They are bred the same as low fence deer. They eat the same foods. They dodge the same preditors. They behave the same as all the other deer we hunt. Only difference is the fence.

Sometimes farm deer are put into high fence areas sometimes they aren't. Farm deer released into high fence die quickly. They can't feed themselves and native deer beat them to death.

Sure that happens. People have even tried to pass off farm deer as free range deer. I ain't gonna BS you. Any business will get fraudsters in it.
 
Hunters, well if you want to call them hunters, try to pass off farm deer as wild so why wouldn't the supplier.

Man, I haven't logged in since I posted this picture and boy you guys ran with it. I had no details about the deer when I posted the picture, but I still think it is a beautiful deer. Yeah I am a little bummed it is a high fence deer but still an amazing animal. Being from Mexico i'm not surprised though that it is a high fence deer.
 
Slow day at work here for me, still I am disappointed in myself for reading this tread all the way to here. These he said she said pissing contest wear out my mind.
 
I wish when they grow a monster like him, I wish they pen up a few Dozen wild doe's and let him do his thing and then turn they back out into the wild.

And Tri is worried about your DL and voting rights. LOL. Tri, as a fellow Texan, I know nothing about this Lemon guy other than what is posted regularly on this forum. I have hunted high fence as well as "fair chase" a ton in my life. If you are as close to Lemon as you come on here and portray through your devoted loyalty to him, why don't you reach out to him and ask for the full story and clear all this up? Surely these guys would take your story as fact if coming from Lemon himself through you. Just a thought.

That's my point JB. CLEAR WHAT UP? He isn't on here defrauding anyone. He hasn't done anything shady here. There isn't even smoke. But that doesn't stop little boys from trash talking someone earning an honest living from the safety of their home.

They could just as easily call Wade and talk to him and get answers. But they don't want that. Nooooo it's easier to go on the ol internet and slander someone working for a living. He didn't come here at all. There's nothing to "clear up". Why does he have to come respond to gossip and liars?

Fair enough. I have just read several times on these threads when you are in the vast minority defending this guy. I think we all (you included) truly believe this was a pen raised deer. I could care less if it was or not. Just funny seeing him pose with it like that. Somebody wrote a big check and is happy.

You are coming off as incredibly insecure and sure take all of this Lemon bashing personal. The guy obviously has a history of not being above board with his hunts. I don't know any more than what is posted on here, but a lot of people have produced credible information/sources on previous threads.

Actually he doesn't have a history of that. There's a bunch of threads that make all kinds of accusations about him but he runs a straight company and when you ask him about any of the accusations he is honest and above board with you. When there was a problem with the UDWR he was honest and above board with them. Do you actually believe he would have been in business for 42 years if he wasn't above board?

I'm not worried about whether you think I look insecure. Like is said before I would do the same thing for you if someone was slandering you here.

If theres a fence high enough that they can't jump it, it's not fair chase. You are comparing Key limes to Bearss limes. Bottom line is they can't jump the fence so the hunter has the advantage....eventually that buck gets found and killed. And it doesn't matter how smart that buck is, he won't make it to die of old age.

Nobody is arguing what is or isn't fair chase. Plenty of deer die of old age and natural causes inside fenced areas. In fact the average age of mortality inside high fences is higher than average age of mortality in "fair chase" areas.

Tristate wade doesn't need you’re protection his company just killed a potential 300” mule deer he will have clients lined up till he’s dead. Man it’s a great buck quit being so protective of the hunter. It cost a lot to kill a buck that big in Mexico. I’d hate to see the bill but would love to view the antlers. Good on the man to have that money to kill that buck. Maybe we should out the hunter to the folks that want to end hunting. Get off your high horse and let that poor thing rest.
