221-223 elk

I have the late rifle hunt. I already know where I'm going, just want to hear from folks who have been on the ground this year. How are conditions this year and what have you been seeing for numbers and quality?

Helped out friends some.
Elk numbers were lower in our usual spots.
I think numbers are maybe a lil lower but it could just be me.

I just got back and didn’t see many elk , 8 days of glassing and some walking . Saw 4 bulls total and they were not big , seems like the elk didn’t like the Circus of SXS .. I heard of a few good bulls taken in units 111 -115. Planning on leaving again to go back out there again .

Did you glass and hike up mt grafton?

We glassed and used spotting scopes but never spotted elk lots of hunters there , lots of country. My guide has gotten elk on Grafton before ,the elk would only come out early for a little bit in the morning and the same for the evening. We did some walking to find areas not visible from the roads .
