The area I hunted was very steep and tough terrain. This was just past Monarach Pass. Can't speak for the entire unit. Didn't see a single sign of life either lol.

I can't offer any advice on 30. As others have said, do your research on stats, consider other things like terrain, access, etc. Someone on here mentioned 54/55, those are both pretty different units as far how they are laid out so just do your DD if you go that route. They are also very hit or...

Well that is good to hear! I'm glad the CPW conspiracy theory isn't true...or even worse a "bot" customer. They guy selling them must have had a buddy trying haha. It's wild tags like that even end up on the list.

Yeah....I hope so. Pretty trustworthy guy and a weird story to "make up". Either way I talked to him and he said whatever happened he guaranteed the tags were sold before 11.

I thought the 79 Rifle tags were pretty exciting...had a couple buddies trying for those 2. Interesting enough, I guess they were told the tags disappeared in the system before 11 (They were at a retailer). I guess the guy working the counter told them that on the REALLY good tags CPW employees...

That is the plan! Thanks for the advice. I'm hoping to wait out a 4 year old and I'll have the whole season to hunt. Hopefully get there a couple days early to scout it out and get familiar with everything.

Haha thanks! I think I would have appreciated the move a little more if it hadn't involved missing my daughter being born and $2000 in my hunting stuff being "lost" ?. None the less here I am and I love it. Thanks for the reply, I'd definitely be happy taking something closer to 150-160.

Well there was 2 of them which is why I went for it!! I'm convinced the ones that have 1 are impossible to get. I have got VERY good at being quick lol but no bot for me!! I don't have the brains or financial means to pull off a tag bot haha.
