If this concept were to ever truly work, It would only promote lazy azzez who don't hike before season and then cry all season about having to go 300 yards from the truck.

It does work.
I'm not so sure about the lazy assesses thing. But as a dude sporting a fake body part or two, I wouldn't mind trying one just to see if I can gain a bit of independence.
