I'm from Utah I came on MM to give it a shot. With reading some of the comments on here I'm baffled. I thought this sight would be uplifting, and encouraging our fellow hunters out in the field. Instead I have read comments on here that those select few should be ashamed of. What happened to the days when we were helping other hunters out with a helping hand instead of worrying about pictures or things they are doing out in the field. I know this unit pretty well my family is from hatch and the surrounding areas. I think everyone should just be enjoying what he's doing and encouraging him to succeed. Take in his pictures and the great deer he's been seeing. Let him take pictures and enjoy his most likely once in a lifetime tag that he has been waiting for over 20+ years. For those on here that have been giving him that helping hand and lifting him up with encouragement good on you may your hunts be great this fall if they haven't already enjoy the mountain and memories time spent with those you love.

It’s called hunttalk you can have all the that and more with more moderation and group think

I agree with lik2hnt, if your not familiar with the internet’s from early 2000’s I don’t know how to help you.

I am and this looks to not be the place for people like yourselves keep on with your screen time and less time on the mountain take care

That a#$hole is shamelessly going on sheep hunts at the expense of the spots he burned. He could care less about Montana he got what he was looking for and has a good amount of jock strap riders on hunt talk. Good luck to the OP I hope for an update.

I took that picture.. Dennis worked his guts out, 10 days diy and had some opportunities, Then hunted with the roundys on his return. I got to be there for the second trip, f’n epic. That deer is a stud and no one deserved it more.

Zim hasn't been on since the 8th of September. After posting almost daily. I hope he gets on to say if he was successful finally!
 
Hope all is well with Zim. Maybe the Moss Back guide he was getting friendly with helped him kill a hog and swore him to silence until they can get it posted in a magazine with credit.

Kind of left us all hanging after weeks!!!

Hope he was successful and made it back home safely.
 
Zim posted this on another site a few months ago .........."I will likely be hanging around in the area 3-7 days after my deer hunt concludes. While deer is being processed. Due to my wife flying out to join me afterwards to visit some national parks."

I personally don’t care what deer he shoots. I wanted to know is how he like the national parks there, some of the prettiest imo.
I’m starting to think he got the 230 monster and is saving the memory for himself and wouldn’t blame him.

Don't kid yourself, if he killed that 230" it would've been posted here and every other site, he frequents a long time ago...
 
Seems typical of alot of guys on this site they drag you along where you're really invested and then if they kill something big they'll usually tell you about it but if they don't fill the tag they'll never come back. That's my guess he didn't fill the tag.

Think it’s a little more than that. He removed a couple of past hunts he had posted on MM and other sites. Same old, same old
 
You never know with old Zimmies, Maybe hes been celebrating a 240” Buck muley crazy style and had a rough weekend at the BuckSkin Tavern and just getting back hydrated and running at full capacity, or heaven forbid he saw one of Heatons apple stashes and is locked up in a witness protection program pending the court case.

Ya that's true also, after reading the colorado 61 elk hunt thread and then this paunsagunt thread he's kind of a guy that if things don't go perfect he's a big time excuse maker, kinda seems like he likes to blame everyone else and pout.
 
Either that or he had a big one and was life flighted out. Anyone see any choppers during closing weekend?
 
We have accused Zim of telling too much information, we have accused Zim of lies, and then pull up old posts, just to embarrass him.
And now we are offended that Zim has not come back on to finish telling us about his hunt.
I understand some are just having some fun, but really, would you come back on and share your hunt after some of the crap said on this thread.
I personally was enjoying the hunt and some of the experiences he was having, and was hoping to hear how it turned out.
If I was in Zims shoes I do not know if I would come back on this site and give an update.

Given he posted the same tread on multiple forums and has not been to any of them to update..... I would guess we just see him next year when he draws a tag somewhere else. I was really hoping he would harvest a deer. But now its been almost a week since it ended with no update its not going to happen here or any other forums.
 
Boy some of you guys must have got simply beaten back in high school. A bunch of old dudes acting like little girls.
