I got a '22 F350 Tremor and looking to replace the Goodyear DuraTracs that came on it. Looking at Toyo Open Country AT3, or Cooper has the new Stronghold AT out but theres no reviews on it yet. I thought about the Falkens but man thats a heavy tire.
 
Falken Wildpeak AT. Almost a year in and no complaints so far. Waiting to see what kind of mileage I get compared to Goodrich AT.

Do you have the Wildpeak on a Super Duty? My wife has them on her Bronco and they're great, I just didn't know how the rubber would be on a heavy truck towing a fifth wheel.

I had the Duratrac on an F350 once and didn't feel like they lasted long enough. My current tires are KO2 and they've been okay, but I'm willing to look at other options... primarily KO3 vs Falken

It’s got 3:55 gears in it. They don’t even offer the 4:10 in the tremor.
 
Do you have the Wildpeak on a Super Duty? My wife has them on her Bronco and they're great, I just didn't know how the rubber would be on a heavy truck towing a fifth wheel.

I had the Duratrac on an F350 once and didn't feel like they lasted long enough. My current tires are KO2 and they've been okay, but I'm willing to look at other options... primarily KO3 vs Falken
2500 Ram diesel. I drag a 24' travel trailer a fair amount in the summer. The proof will be how the tread lasts for me. The Goodrich KO's didn't do that great for me.
 
Alot Of modern Day Tires Ain't Nothin But A Bunch Of CHINA Built Trash!

The GOODYEARS That Came On This Last Pick-Up I Bought Didn't Have 3/8" Of Tread Depth BRAND F'N NEW!

Hands down the best tire I have ever had is a Mickey Thompson Baja Legend EXP. It was formerly a Dick Cepek product.

I wouldn’t trust a Cooper to hold the roof on my trailer down.

To be fair, my Cooper tires only do about 700 miles a week on chity dirt roads. So I guess I’m not qualified to comment. 😂😂
 
Running cooper ST Maxx on all my oilfield pickups. They are good to go.

We always ran the Goodyear duratrac in the oilfield. All around did great in all environments.

We ran about 150 pickups when I was somebody. A couple dozen were on coal mines with scoria surfacing (basically glass). We ran Hankooks there for what thats worth.

For less money I’ll take the MT’s every day. It really comes down to what we’ve all had good luck with. Coopers may be fine for you.
 
This Has Been Probably 25 Years Ago When Cooper Tires Were Total F'N TRASH!

An Old Hillbilly In An Old Beat Up Truck Had A Tire Hanging Off The Back Of His Camper With A Big Sign That Said:

I WILL NEVER EVER BUY ANOTHER F'N COOPER TIRE!

Still Cracks Me Up Today!

I’ve not noticed that. But we only run them for 25K. I’m on my second set of the year.
 
I've rolled on Toyo AT's from May thru October and then Toyo MT's November thru April.


On both my vehicles.

Lost a rear quarter panel half an exhaust to one tread sperating

I've ran Falken wild peak AT, and Hancook Dynapro ATM on my truck and the Hancook tires were by far better. The Wild peaks went out of round badly before the tread was gone. They were heavier and reduced milage by 1.5 MPG. The Hankook's never gave me any balance problems and lasted longer.

Exactly, which is why the 78lb Falken tire seems just a tad much. Leaning more toward the 68lb Toyo AT3 now. The Cooper is only 58lbs but that seems a little light. I had good luck with the Cooper AT3 XLT on my last truck, but those are discontinued now that Goodyear bought them out. Those DuraTracs that come on the truck new wear out so stinking quick. I've got 24k on the truck and two tires at 4/32 already.
 
I run Goodyear ultra terrain 10 ply on the Yota. Aggressive for a AT. 15,000 on them no wear to speak of. Not sure how they'd do on heavier towing truck.

Just replaced some Toyo open country on the 1 ton Cummins. They got replaced early, the sales guy saying the tread was shredded by too many dirt gravel roads🙄(sounded like BS)

PUT GOODYEAR WRANGLERS on it, but only about 400 miles on them so no review

In the Gas 7.3 Tremor they are 4:30. The diesel are 3:55. With all that torque that is plenty of gear, especially just with 35s on it.
 
I've always looked at tire on a truck, like a bullet to a gun, some just work better than others, a lot depends on what your asking it to do.

My wifes jeep has the falken wildpeaks they have been great. Have 40k on them currently and will probably be replaced around springtime.

My 08 Cummins currently running the KO2 mainly pull the camper, and equipment once in awhile, very please with these tires, have about 25k on them.

My 04 tundra is my hunting/trapping/ mountain truck, it gets used and abused, I'm currently running the Coop ST Maxx, I am very happy the way these tires perform in all road conditions,.......until recently I lost the tread cap last week on a tire and 5 days later I noticed another tire was low, it has cracks in the sidewall, i have about 25k on them and probably another 15 to go, so that was discouraging cuz i really like the way they performed.
So I'll probably run the wildpeaks next or follow this thread to see what others are using.
Like others have stated when it comes to this truck I don't really care how many miles I get out of a tire, I just need a tire I can rely on.

I’m leaning toward the Toyo AT3 this time around. I ran the Cooper AT3 XLT on my last truck and they did well all around but they got discontinued with GY buying Cooper. I do a good mix of towing and using it as my all around truck. Just looking for a good balance. The DuraTrac did ok but man they wore out quick and the wet pavement grip stinks.
 
I’ve never cared, never bought a set of tires that didn’t do a decent job. I’ve been running Paramounts the last few years, no complaints what so ever.

I've checked the Toyo at3 as well, I might give them a try. I don't like the price tag for a 265/75, but then again I dont wanna be stranded somewhere cuz i chimped on some tires, man adulting is hard. 😁

70% Of The Tread On A Good Off Road Tire Is Wore Out During The Time We Don't Need Them For Most Hunters!



I run cheap knock off tires on my tacoma. I've ran expensive ones on it also and so far there hasn't been a difference. Expensive m/t's I get 20,000 miles out of or destroy and these Cheap thunderer m/t's I'll get maybe just over 20,000 and so far haven't had a come apart in 3 sets. This next go around I'm going to get a set of their A/t and m/t tires so I can swap back and forth between.

Duh….. not Paramounts. The are Patagonia M/T Milestar. Sorry about that.

That's my plan I'll just throw the mud tires on from the end of August through November then swap back over to my nicer wheels with the A/T on them. Not sure if it'll make a huge difference or if I'll just be buying 2 sets of tires all the time instead of 1 😂
 
I know they are Michelins, but I went out and checked They're XLT A/S. (whatever that means). They're round and black like most tires. They're quiet.

I started buying Michelins way back when a friend died in Vietnam fighting VC in a Michelin rubber plantation.

What Kinda Mileage Are You Getting Out Of Your A/T's On Average?



My tires now are Yokohama geolander A/T......no different than anything else I've had.....They all do the same thing....
