Antelope score

Howdy MMers,
Just a fun thread looking for guesses on what this CA speedgoat would score? I’m awful at scoring antelope so looking for help! Be nice to have a baseline while we r out there sizing them up!

Man those are tough. So tough with blurry pictures. It often times makes them look heavier than they really are.
I'm guessing between 75-77"???? Solid buck though for sure and a pretty look.

Thx MTNMAN, yeah sorry about that. The wind was whipping and still getting a feel for the glass. We were thinking mid 70's as well.

Super nice buck..nice markings can't beat a really nice black face..I'd say upper 70s..would look nice on anyone's wall

He's a really great looking buck. How he scores is really going to depend on his body/skull size. If he's got an oversized head on him, he could break 80", but more likely I'd guess he's a mid 70s buck .

I’ve got a 75” and an 82” on my wall. That buck is somewhere in between. I’m betting closer to 80.

14" (stretching it), 6" prongs, good weight- 73-75 score.

Yes 14 is a stretch.

2 eye balls width at the base plus 2 ear lengths tall is a good thing to look for.

I don't know much about anything especially judging antelope but I'm guessing he's closer to 70". One thing I noticed while there was that all of the more mature bucks that I came across had fully dark faces. Just my experience but something to think about.

That’s a cool looking buck with those heart shaped horns. Prongs look average to me though…

He's simply got "it" for me. Gorgeous buck, and he'll likely score pretty nicely, right around 80" would be my guess.

I know it’s hard not to think about scores on these OIL hunts, but it’s a good way to set yourself up for disappointment. If he makes you happy that’s the only score that matters!

He came out of the MT dome unit.
Green unofficial score 79”
It was a fun hunt! Saw a ton of goats and learned quite a bit I think

Are you sure the buck you harvested isn’t the buck you think got away? You would be amazed what heat waves do to photos. The neck markings and horn conformation on your buck are very unique and extremely close to the got away bucks.

Yeah pretty sure. Moved places after I couldn’t turn the one in the photo up after a couple days to the place where I killed the this one. We knew the one I killed was there just never got any good photos or really couldn’t judge him either. Every time we saw him he was 1000 plus yards and the heat waves were brutal.
