My favorite way to eat deer backstraps. Dip them up in eggs seasoned flour then fry them up. With mashed potatoes, kernel corn, and smothered in country gravy. I made extra so I can freeze it in seal a meal bags. And take them on my Colorado muzzle loader deer hunt next month. I’ll be eating good around the fire.

Yes, I put them in Seal a Meal boil bag’s make sure all the air is out of them. And just put them in boiling water for a little bit and you’re good to go. Or a microwave.
Running them through a cubing machine adds another culinary factor to the equation. 😁

I add corn starch to flour and spices instead of the corn meal. Sticks better as it is more like flour.. doesn't fall off and muck up your grease as much. A pinch of salt and hot sauce ( crystal is a fave) after it comes out of fry-daddy. Dang I'm going to thaw an elk steak and make some!!! Thanks

Even if you don't have a cuber, almost all cuts of meat benefit from a few pokes with a blade-type tenderizer. A mallet works well also. I used to cringe watching my wife pound chicken breasts on the granite counter top. Took forever to train her to use a cutting board!!!!!!!!!!!!
