I’m just plan lucky to be alive and thankful I can hunt elk, regardless of not doing it in grizzly country. Almost bit it on a quad in CO this year, just plan lucky I didn’t get squashed. I don’t need surviving in grizz country to appreciate life.?

Didn't get the elk tag I hoped for in the secondary draw, but did get an archery deer tag in the OTC unit I plan to elk hunt.

The spikes are not too far from cows. They normally trail a herd until chased off by the herd bull. Find cows and you’ll find a spike or two until peak rut.

My brother got Chesnimus archery elk, and gerber res archery antelope. Should be an interesting season for him.

My son got an X2 tag, which I am planning to help him with. My Bro and I got our fall back D3-5 tag. I might have to see what the PCT looks like in August with my Bow. The planning starts now.
