YOU KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THIS SS???

"That person did not witness the attack, so authorities cannot say if the moose killed Chorman by kicking or stomping him, or a combination". Does this really even matter?:D

    Factory rifles

I don't have any custom rifles. I own a .270 Weatherby, several Tikka rifles and a Browning X-Bolt that shoots hand loads as good as any "custom rifles" can shoot. Maybe I should say as good as I'm capable of shooting.

    CWD in Cali

I agree with this as well. When I lived on a ranch in western Colusa county, we had a pretty healthy deer herd. One year I founf one standing in a dry creek bed, shaking and staring at me. All skinny and looking pretty poor. He "ran" about 15 yards and just stayed there. I'm no expert either...

I had to look up what "Herping" is :). I,m not afraid of those buzz tails, but I sure respect them.

    Anyone get snake bit?

Hey Blank, that stick is no where near long enough for that snake.

    Rich man’s game

I actually do both. I also look forward to the hunts that I can do out of state with my family and friends, or just by myself. I have a ton of fun too. I think it's a privilege to hunt in another state, and appreciate every time I get to do so. Maybe one day, I'll buy a big expensive house in...

    Draw Points

X6A is a fun hunt, but be prepared for a lot of people. There are some really good bucks there though.

    Rich man’s game

Maybe there's a time and a place for everything. I was raised DYI hunting. We've raised our kids hunting since they were babies. We hunted every year DIY, and always enjoyed our family time. When my oldest daughter graduated college, her "graduation gift" was to go on a guided hunt in Wyoming...

    Rich man’s game

This topic has been debated many times on this forum. Hunting is a "rich mans game" if you want it to be. If I choose to purchase a landowner tag or go on a guided hunt, that will definitely cost me more money than a DIY hunt. But, I also have the opportunity to go to get a tag in my state, or...

    Would have been 17 Sunday

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I can't imagine what you are going through, but I pray your pain eases, and know that she is in Heaven now.

    Caliber for elk/mule deer

I'll sell you my 300 win, it'll rattle your molars cowboy;). Like I said, not all manufacturers are the same, some rifles have less recoil, but mine flat out kicks!

    Tule Elk Antler Growth

Too early to tell. Saw a couple bulls last week with maybe 1/3-1/2 of their horn growth.

    Caliber for elk/mule deer

The 300WM is a great caliber. Get a muzzle break, or prepare yourself for a heck of a kick. I'm sure that doesn't apply to all manufacturer's, but the ones I've shot, I didn't enjoy. I rally like my .270 WBY and just bought a .28 Nosler i really like (with a break). Honestly, we own several...
