Zeiss or Steiner

I'm going to upgrade my binos and would appreciate any opinions on the Zeiss Conquest12x45 or the Steiner C5 Predators 12x42s.

I'll take Zeiss binocs over Steiner's any day. Better quality optics...look at Kahles if you are going in the Zeiss price range...

That's like choosing between a Mercedes or a Yugo......by all means if you can afford either....get the Zeiss.

I'd warn against either. With a 12x42, you're not getting nearly as much light into your binos as you would with say a 10x42 or a 15x56. If you go 12x, (which I'd only do with a tripod), go for an objective lens greater than 50mm.

LOL no brainer Zeiss! They are the third best glass after Swarovski and Leica.IMO
