Blessed times, first legal big game hunt, 10 years old, AZ desert. After my dad emptied the clip in his gun trying to shoot him while he was running away, I finally said “should I shoot?” He said “if you can see him in your scope”, which I could, so I yanked the trigger and very very luckily I dropped him at 300 yards with a single head shot, all while my older brother had fallen in a cactus and was not able to participate in the war zone festivities. It was quite the experience.

My first good muley. I had a few blacktails and a muley under my belt but this was my first good buck. I was 14. Buck was 24" wide 3x3. We entered him in a big buck contest in lookout CA. The contest was for weight. He was 3rd when we weighed him at 193 dressed. I don't know where he ended up placing but I didn't win anything.
