You guys see this new show...

I was wondering what some of you guys think of that show AXMAN on the history channel? I thought it was cool. I was a logger for a while and do it almost every summer with my dad but I had too many close calls with my co workers being stupid. Crazy times. So what do you all think of the show if you saw it.

I thought it was ok. I had an uncle who logged on Kodiak island in Alaska for about 10 years. Then he went to northern cal. where he had a tree fall on him, so he quit logging. I think it takes someone who is tuffer then hell to do it. To bad there is not more of it going on.

Most of the loggers in the area where this was filmed don't operate like these hillbilly's.What was shown on TV was staged.Logging has become highly mechanized to where ground up to 40% slopes are cut with a machine.Chokers on the tower sides are electronic elimanating chasers on the landing.These company's are going back in history 20 years with their logging practices.
