i did a long hike for antlers yesterday with limited success.
i found 20 old chalk white but i was to far in tho pack them out.
i found one set of brown deer and the rest are hard white

then i found what i hate seeing a winter killed buck

i left it there due to needing to get a warden out and i was 4 miles back in a walk in area. I'll show a warden this pic and see if i can get a tag to take the antlers without making him take the hike i can show him on a map where it is.
he was a real nice buck I'd have loved to sling a arrow at him.

Good finds. The chalk antlers drive me crazy because sometimes you'll find a bunch of them and think that you'll find more antlers the next year in the same spot but end up finding nothing. Are they desert deer? fatrooster.

Great pics, here is a few pics of a winter kill buck I found.

When I was out snowshoeing last winter I spot what I think is a easy shed find in the deep snow.

After digging with my hands for a bit I decide to take off a snowshoe and use it to dig in the snow.

As I am digging with the snowshoe I realize that this is more than a shed.

I was very impressed to pull a 6 X 8 out of the snow.
