Year of the elk

In 40+ years of hunting this was a year of many lifetimes.
Our Family (3 Sons and a Daughter in law) drew 6 elk tags in 4 states.
Hunting from September through November. We were able to harvest 3 book elk.
One with a bow
One with a muzzleoader
One with a rifle.
We were also able to also have three generations on a successful elk hunt for the first time.
Have no idea what 2024 will bring but i sure am looking forward to it.

I thought our groups three elk in one out of state limited entry hunt, including one archery and two rifle tagged elk, was a great adventure. This hunt adventure is orders of magnitude greater! Congrats on a great elk season!

52" inside.
Old warrior way past his prime 12+ years old.
Lived his live in wolf and grizz country. Wasn't going to see another year.
Saw 5 wolves the same day we got him.
Not the biggest bull on the mountain but in my opinion the best one to harvest.
