Not hard to tell the shed season has slowed down. Every year about this time my yard gets raided by low life bone thiefs, WTF can't you guys find your own? or is it just easier to find them in soneone elses flower beds. You guys make me sick and you know who you are. Who else does this happen too? The amazing thing is they steal junk, what's next? breaking in houses to get the good stuff.

I get garden horns stolen about once a year. I can't imagine why they want the old rotten crap.

A good friend of mine has a very very nosey neighbor that is retired. She watched as two girls stole sheds out of his garden in the middle of the day and loaded them into a car. wtf?

both you guys get horns stolen every year? Slow learners.

You think you would learn by now, or at least make it more difficult for them to take them. It doesn't take much to make it so they can't take them very easily. Once they see they are "planted" they move on. They just want the easy ones.

wybhtn- if you or the theives want my junk garden horns you can have them. It really doesn't bother me when the rotten crap walks off. Thats why i think it is so funny. I don't leave anything of any quality in the garden and i'm shocked someone would go to the effort of stealing worthless crap.

A few years ago I got a bunch of sheds stolen out of my flower beds. A few full skulls and some 300 inch horns. My wife was madder than I was but we decided to put a bunch more back out there recently and stake it out. Sure enough they showed up about 1:30 in the morning. There were 6 of us with paint ball guns and we unloaded on them and their car and then called the police. When we got the call to come identify them we went down to where they had them pulled over. They looked like a couple of multicolored convicts. It was all the cops could do to not laugh. They told us it was the easiest care to identify and that the suspects were exactly as described. I bet they had over 100 rounds each on them. I would love to do that again so if you live close by let me know. It was well worth the wait. By the way, they confiscated over 200 horns these guys had in their possesion and not one of them was found by them.

It's always an adventure!!!

now thats funny right there. A shed stakeout!

200 horns? crazy. only in utah.

Did they get a ticket???

It only took me once to learn the hard way.
I had 3 140-150" deer skulls and a 300" bull taken on Halloween night a few years back.

Next time i'll make sure the bowl of candy i sat out stays full..... x(

Why are you guys putting 300 inch horns in your garden??? Restore those bad boys or sell them, what good do they do in the garden?
There's a guy in Croydon that throws all his sheds on his roof. He has probably 50-100 up there just soaking up the rays. I'm surprized these local bozos don't go up to Croydon, Henefer, and Morgan where it's easy pickins on all the ranch houses.
BTW- You can sell the old nasty ones too.

I haven't had any sheds stolen from the yard but I have had somebody steal a dead coyote out of the back of my truck in the front of my house. This wasn't back in the day when they were worth over $100 this was when they were worth $10. Some people will steal anything, I just don't get it.

Was this the same guy in Utah county that about every Feb, and March he would start braggin he'd already picked up more bone than eveyone else put together? I'm pretty sure a few of those 200 came out of my yard.

My dog Topaz is a shed hunting dog and goes with me 24-7 to work. Once I had a foundation to do in town and he went down the street "shopping". By the end of the week there had to be 20 deer horns in the shade of the wall I finished. They were old pieces of crap I hope noone got mad...

About 20 years ago a friend of mine kept getting his radio stolen out of his truck. He finally came up with the idea of putting a nest of small fish hooks under the dash of his truck so that when the thief reached under the dash he would get caught. Sure enough, one morning he went out to his truck to go to work and there was the culprit stuck to about a hundred tiny fish hooks and couldn't get loose. My friend beat his ace with a baseball bat while he couldn't move and then left him there and called the police. Justice was carried out that day! fatrooster.

I pounded a big old nail into the ground once with some thin wire, I left a few feet of wire coiled under the bark chips. One morning I came out to find the antler at the end of its chain and you could see where the Jackie's feet slipped as that wire tightened. I'm sure it jerked him good. Wish I could have seen it!

Had a buddy get a truck load stole out of his shed that was locked. the kid got caught. before getting caught the antlers were sold. they got a few back but not all. some were absolute giants. when i lived down south, i was putting tile floors in and moved my pile to the garage. sometimes the door would stick and come back up if you didnt pay attention. well i didnt and went to the store. came back and about 30 sheds that were all big were gone, this was in broad daylight. people suck! anything that is hard to obtain people will swipe.

HJB,
I am from that area and know the house your talking about.. I don't think we are "Bozos" like you say.. There are antler thiefs here. They just don't dare mess with some of us.. I noticed the other day though those sheds on the house were all moved off, they have been there for years, so i don't know if this post had something to do with them off there or not.. I have hundreds of sheds, but they aren't kept outside so I never have any stolen..
