I posted this on the general elk forum but thought I should post here too...
I'm a NR and I drew a general elk tag along with my son. This will be his first elk hunt and my first hunt in Wyoming. I drew Utah LE archery Manti last year so I decided to try another state since I won't be hunting Utah for a while.
I've done quite a bit of research and I'm thinking about units 92, 94 and 90. Would appreciate any info, thoughts or advice anyone has about these areas (or other possible units). If we hunt hard can we expect to get into some elk? Would be interested to know how big the average bull is and how much pressure they get during the archery season.
I will be spending my time archery hunting but may come back up during rifle for my son. I would love to be able to get into some bugling bulls during the rut with him so he can experience that craziness and hopefully catch elk fever.
Thanks in advance!
