I have two points now for Wyoming. I am a non-resident. Do you think I could draw Region G or H? Are they worth it? If I could draw them and you think they are worth it, do you have any suggestions on an outfitter for a good high country hunt? Thanks, Todd

With 2 preferene points, and a special license, you'll draw region G or H 100% of the time. These are both fantastic tags, but you'll also need to do a tremedous ammount of scouting as these areas are huge. Also, I would consider applying for a more limited hunt as both of these hunts give out close to 1000 tags... That's a lot of other hunters to deal with.

With 2 points, you would draw G or H with the regular license fee/tag. Don't waste the money for the special tag.

You'll draw as far as outfitters there are many to choose from, I'd look at Double Diamond, Barlow outfitters, NT outfitters. Those are three that are pretty good in G or H. I'm sure there are more though.

If you are looking for a really special hunt and a real good chance for a big buck then apply for the more limited areas and not the area wide permits. If you just want to make sure and hunt this next year the G & H will get you a permit. Getting a really good buck in G&H will require alot of hard hunting and some luck too no matter what outfitter you go with and you will have plenty of company.
