Had a successful hunt for deer with my son taking a small 4x3 and I took a 3x3 about the same size. Son had a chance at a nice 160" buck after a nice stalk with his bow to15yards. He went to full draw behind some sagebrush and then stood up and aimed. Just as he was reaching for the trigger his bow blew up ! I was watching through my binos and I couldn't believe my eyes. On a positive note he didn't get hurt. Rifle season opened the next morning and he missed a good 3x3 he was shaking so bad lol. Saw a couple of good bucks but couldn't close the deal. My good buddy who used to live in Green River came to share in the hunt and we sure had a lot of fun. Saw lots of sage hens and a couple of badgers too. I would like to thank ELKS96 for all the help he gave us as I hadn't been in that area for 28 years. My son probably passed at least 30 small bucks with his bow and about 25 with his rifle. He was so excited and refused any help dragging out his deer. He told me I was getting too old to help lol. I've killed much bigger deer in my life but I can say this was the most fun I've ever had .
